The "Machine of the Year" prize is voted on by agricultural journalists from various European countries and this year's award ceremony, which was held on the stand of the DLV-Verlag publishing company at Agritechnica 2011, almost matched the Oscars for excitement!  

Lynne Yelich, Canadian Minister of Economic Development, emphasized the positive developments in the agricultural economy of the western states of Canada during her visit to the CLAAS stand and discussed the possibilities for greater cooperation between CLAAS and Canada with Dr. Theo Freye.

In his speech at the Max-Eyth Evening held at the Agritechnica 2011 trade fair, Dr. Hermann Garbers emphasized the importance of modern agricultural machinery for feeding the world's population.

Over 130 journalists from all over Europe and the USA came to the CLAAS trade fair stand on the opening day of Agritechnica.
