New steering terminals. Simply unbeatable.

Two new terminals for the GPS PILOT to meet all customer requirements: the S7 and S10.

 

The new S7, the successor to the S3 terminal, will be the basic terminal for all CLAAS steering systems from now on.
The S10 also offers many additional functions. Both terminals operate on the basis of proportional steering valve systems
or, optionally, with the GPS PILOT FLEX launched at SIMA 2013.

The S10 terminal.

The new S10 terminal is a real all-rounder. As well as the familiar functions (AUTOTURN, SECTION VIEW, job management, reference line management), the S10 with its 10.4" high-resolution touchscreen also offers a host of additional functions and control options – for example, the S10 terminal can also control ISOBUS-enabled implements. With the S10, GLONASS satellite reception can be activated as an option.

Receiver technology is already integrated into the terminal.

The dual frequency receiver is built into the terminal housing, enabling all the correction signals available from CLAAS (OMNISTAR, BASELINE, RTK) to be received. EGNOS / E-DIF is preconfigured as the basic signal and can optionally be expanded at any time by means of a simple activation process in the terminal menu.  This enables you to upgrade without changing your technology as your accuracy requirements increase. The other functions, such as ISOBUS and AUTO TURN, can also be activated optionally by means of a licence code.

AUTO TURN for time-saving automatic turning manoeuvres.

The AUTO TURN function, activated by means of a licence code, increases your work rate in the field, allowing you to turn quickly and line up accurately for the next pass. Once the function has been activated, the machine turns automatically at the headland with an optimised turning radius which protects the soil. High accuracy when lining up for the next pass minimises overlapping and untreated areas.

 

In the S10 terminal this function can be extended to make automatic turning even easier. Once field boundaries have been entered, the machine can turn automatically at the boundary or at a predefined headland track, allowing the driver to concentrate on the implement.

SECTION VIEW for manual section switching.

SECTION VIEW, the section display function from CLAAS, greatly reduces overlapping, e.g. when spraying or drilling, and helps to cut costs. The section width is adjustable and up to 16 sections can be selected. This function reduces the driver's workload and provides an accurate calculation of the area worked.

ISOBUS implement control.

The S10 can display and control ISOBUS-compliant implements. The implement is shown in a separate menu window, allowing the GPS PILOT function to run in the background. The ISOBUS display can be minimised and moved around on the touchscreen. For convenient implement operation, the menu interface is optimised for operation with the right hand.

The user-customised favourites menu.

Up to eight frequently used functions can be saved as favourites in the favourites menu, making it quick and easy to use even for inexperienced drivers. A physical button on the terminal provides fast access to menus.

The camera display keeps an eye on everything.

Up to four analogue cameras can be connected to the S10, providing a clear view of otherwise hidden areas. All four cameras can be displayed at the same time or, alternatively, individual images can be shown in full screen mode. On the main screen, users can position the camera window wherever they wish simply by moving it around. Naturally, the CLAAS PROFI CAM is compatible with the new S10 terminal.
