CLAAS video/photo competition
Please only publish pictures or videos which you have taken/recorded yourself. If you do not wish to publish any pictures or videos of your own, you may simply view the gallery.
You can add a personal rating to any pictures or videos which you particularly like.
General entry conditions
"CLAAS & I" video/photo competition
The closing date for entries is 16 October 2009, 16 November 2009 and 16 December 2009 respectively at 12.00 p.m. CET (server time when file uploaded). All of the pictures and videos submitted will be shown on the CLAAS homepage and CLAAS Webspecial.
A condition of entry is that a picture may not already have been published in printed form and a video may not already have been published online, nor may either have already won any prizes in a competition or infringe against any laws. We reserve the right to exclude pictures and videos from participation and publication at our own discretion after checking, especially if they infringe against any laws.
Who can take part?
Anyone can take part. It is compulsory for pictures/videos to be submitted as a digital file via the Internet portal http://www.claas.com. In order to do this, prior registration is necessary. A user name, e-mail address, short description of the picture, picture name/video name and upload date must be provided.
Employees of the CLAAS Group and their relatives are excluded from participation.
What can be submitted?
Each participant can take part in the competition with one picture/video. The respective file must be submitted via the online form on the Internet portal http://www.claas.com. The online form must be filled out in full and the participant must confirm that he/she has read and accepts these entry conditions.
The picture must be stored in JPEG format. The maximum file size is 5 MB. The video may be a maximum of 120 MB in size and a maximum of 3 minutes long. WMV, AVI, MOV and MPG formats are accepted. The videos will automatically be converted into a suitable playback format after upload.
Prints, photographs, picture storage media or videos of any format may not be submitted by post. In addition, pictures or videos may not be submitted via e-mail. The competition may only be entered using the form. Submissions by any other means will not be returned and will be destroyed/erased.
Closing date for entry
The closing date for entries is 16 October 2009 and 16 December 2009 respectively at 12.00 p.m. CET (server time when file uploaded). Files submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The monthly winners will be announced on 19 October, 17 November and 17 December 2009 on the homepage http://www.claas.com. Prizes may not be transferred or paid out in cash.
Who judges the competition?
A jury will decide on the monthly winners from the videos and pictures submitted. The jury consists of 5 staff from the CLAAS Corporate Marketing team and will decide on a majority basis. The winners will be notified in writing. No cash payouts will be made and prizes cannot be swapped.
Prizes
We will award prizes to several winners every month (closing dates for entries 16 October, 16 November and 16 December 2009 respectively).

Picture labelling
When a picture/video file is uploaded, the information provided during the compulsory user registration process will be added to the file (user name, e-mail address, short description, name and date of upload) and file will be stored in this form in a special database of claas.com.
This information is entered in the corresponding fields of the form
By registering, participants agree to the use and storage of their data exclusively for the purposes of this photo competition.
Copyright
By submitting a picture/video, the participant acknowledges that he or she holds all rights to the submitted picture, video and sound, has the unlimited right to use all parts of the picture, all video sequences and any music used and that no rights to the picture or sound material are held by third parties and that, in cases where individuals are shown, no individual rights are infringed upon.
If one or more individuals are shown on the picture/in the video in a recognisable manner, the individuals in question must agree to publication of the picture/video. If requested, the participant must provide assurance of this in writing. If claims are nevertheless made by third parties due to infringement of their rights, the participant releases the competition organiser from liability for all claims.
Photos/videos which are edited on a computer may not contain any picture components from magazines, books, purchased CDs etc. The soundtrack of the video may not contain any material protected by copyright (e.g. music), which is not owned by the participant or is used without permission.
Liability
CLAAS KGaA mbH accepts no liability for any loss or damage to pictures and videos which are submitted.
Assignment of rights
Every participant grants CLAAS KGaA mbh, as the organiser, non-exclusive rights to use the pictures/videos for the photo competition. These rights may not be restricted to any region, time or content format (including the right to edit the submitted pictures for the competition, for reporting on the competition in print and online media, for public relations work of and for the photo competition, printing and reproduction on display posters, invitations, exhibitions, E-cards and, if applicable, catalogues and books).
If CLAAS KGaA mbH has an interest in using pictures for further commercial purposes outside of the competition, e.g. for producing merchandising products, it will come to a special agreement with the respective participant.
Data protection
The data submitted by the participants will be made available to relevant third parties if the pictures are published as part of the competition (reporting on the competition, prize ceremonies etc.). These third parties may include, for example, magazine editorial offices or exhibition organisers. The participant hereby grants his/her express permission for this.
Legal remedy
The judges' decision is final.
What will happen to the pictures/videos after the competition?
If the organiser makes no further use of the submitted pictures/videos, they will be erased after completion of the competition and subsequent reporting.
