QUADRANT assembly
On one belt, the large square balers QUADRANT 1150 to 3400 are produced. It begins with the axle and the sturdy main frame, which forms the bale chamber. Then, the plunger is installed in the main frame and the baler is completed with the packer tines and the packer tines channel. The high-performance rotor of the QUADRANT 3400 with 86 cm diameter is mounted in front of the main frame and together with the cutting frame and the knife group selection unit forms the ROTO CUT cutting system. Simultaneously, the pre-assembled needle yoke is integrated.
The entire drive unit, with main drive, plunger and rotor drive and the large flywheel, knotter direct drive from the main drive to the knotter is installed as the next unit in the baler.
Thereafter, the knotters with controlled twine clamping and central lubrication are mounted. The TURBO FAN for knot cleaning is included in this. Before the basic setting of the tying device is performed, the knotter drives and the eccentric wheels for the accelerator drive of the needles are installed.
After assembly of the power belt rotor drive, the check on the test stand is performed. All machine sequences are simulated. The CLAAS COMMUNICATOR assumes the control during the test. The baler is not driven in this case via a CLAAS tractor, but instead via a drive unit with an electric motor. The hydraulic and electric functions are likewise controlled by this unit.
