The favourable fuel consumption is the first point raised in the unanimously enthusiastic verdict on the new AXION 900.
Steffen, a driver with an agricultural cooperative in South Brandenburg (Germany), used the machine for heavy tillage with a 6-metre wide cultivator: "Its diesel consumption is very low and there's good power delivery from the engine. The tractor is really able to put its power down."
Charles, a farmer in Burgundy (France) confirms that the engine has plenty of pulling power. He used the new AXION 900 for straw baling and transport work as well as cultivation and drilling: "The engine has excellent torque characteristics", says Charles, and adds: "All the components are well laid out and solidly built – that makes for a robust machine with a long service life. In my opinion, this tractor represents real progress."
He also likes the large, modern cab, which he refers to as "a cab with a feelgood factor", a view shared by his driver Antoine: "It's very important for the driver to have a comfortable cab. The standard of comfort of the AXION 900 is far higher than that of our other tractors.
The cab offers an excellent all-round view of the implements and a huge amount of space." Antoine is also impressed by how easy the CMATIC transmission is to use during baling. "You can adjust the speed to whatever level you need to match the quantity of straw. With the square baler we were running with the 1000-rpm ECO PTO drive at an engine speed of 1600 rpm." |

"The tractor is extremely capable and manoeuvrable. Whether or not we're using twin tyres, we really appreciate the AXION 900 for its optimum weight distribution and high tractive force", say Christophe and Frédéric, contractors who also run a farm in Burgundy. They used the AXION 900 with a cultivator, plough, subsoiler and seedbed combination. They, too, are very pleased with the entire operating concept: "CEBIS settings can be configured quickly and easily."
